I've become a big fan of Reverend Kubose of the Bright Dawn Institute of American Buddhism.

Check out this Kubose video about Buddhist sports stars celebrating by "doing the wheel."

Some of his talks are better than others, and the production values vary, but Kubose speaks plainly in a non-politically correct way....

I would LOVE to see short dharma talks from more teachers. If you know of any, please post links in the comments. Here's hoping Ryuei and other teachers in the Nichiren tradition will start talking into their webcams and posting on youtube.

Here's Kubose doing an eight-minute talk about mudras, especially the "OK" sign, mudra of fearlessness. (I've been told that the same mudra means "a-hole" to Italians.)

This one's about the meaning of Hell in Buddhism.

Check out "Dharma 4 Kids" about the Buddha's big ears and listening to the teachings.

Kubose brings a sense of fun and an understanding of American culture to his talks. More, please.
